Contibuild Africa was appointed to be the client oversight Construction project manager for Daimler Trucks Southern Africa on the new head office development project.
The scope was to manage the design and construction teams to deliver to the client’s requirements.
Phase 1: Truck store building refurbishment and extension works. The building is approximately 5000m² in size, and the works were completed, and the building occupied in July 2022.
Phase 2: Daimler Trucks Southern Africa (DTSA) head office building. The building was approximately 2000m² and was completed in Mid-March 2023. This phase included an additional external structure of approximately 300m2 for a vintage trucks display which was completed in April 2023.
Total project cost was over R80 mil.
Contibuild Africa was appointed as the Construction Project manager to manage the engineering design and construction teams to deliver the integrated security fencing programme.
The scope of the works includes the implementation of the new Perimeter walling and integrated Security Management System (ISMS) at 6 depots supported by motion detection system that monitors movement and access, close circuit television, alarm system, a security monitoring system from a central operation centre, and installation of perimeter lighting.
This is the first time that such an integrated security system has been completed by the OEM Huawei globally combing CCTV, motion detection & access control. The completion date for the programme is April 2024.
The programme budget is over R630 mil.
The appointment was for 15 houses per month to be completed by Contibuild Africa. MSP completed over 200 houses over a 24-month period in 2021. Contibuild’s scope was completed over 12months at the end of 2017.
Contibuild Africa has completed residential building works for MSP Developments. Contibuild was appointed as one of the trade contractors on the Crystal Park Benoni site to build affordable housing sizing from 60 to 120sqm.
The estimated duration of this contract was 36 months.
The total MSP development budget was over R400 mil.
Contibuild Africa was appointed as the Construction Project manager to manage the architectural, engineering design and construction teams to deliver the 10 schools projects within the Free State Province.
The scope of the works includes providing turnkey professional services for the replacement of structures built of inappropriate materials from Stage 1 to 6, by conducting the following: Condition assessments and brief verifications, Planning and designs, Prepare cost estimates, Tender documentation and construction project management for Stages 1 to 6.
The completion date for the programme is November 2024.
The programme budget is over R125 mil.
Contibuild Africa was appointed as the Construction Project manager to manage the engineering design and construction teams to deliver the Joburg Fresh Produce Market extension project.
The upgrade and improvement of the Tshiamo market is set to ensure all standards are met regarding new buildings, process flow for fresh produce, food security, and health compliance, and make this new market facility a safe and inviting place for returning and new buyers and or visitors.
The scope of the works was divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1: Was the new build of a 2000sqm trading platform able to accommodate up to 100 traders. An ablution and a taxi rank were also completed to meet the added capacity of the market.
Phase 2: Was the new build of an 1800sqm cold store facility to meet the increasing cold storage demand by the growing traders. Phase 1 was completed in May 2023. Phase 2 is due to be completed in June 2024.
The budget for the project is just over R130 mil.
Contibuild Africa was appointed as one of the trade contractors to construct Res3 medium density residential development in Kibler park, South of Johannesburg.
The estimated duration of this contract was 18 months. CPD completed over 15 blocks over a 36-month period in 2020. Contibuild’s scope was complete in mid-2018.
The budget per block for the top structure was over R20 mil with a total of over R300 for the development.
